Liesl Knox is a Senior Associate in Hesketh Henry’s
Corporate and Commercial team and was admitted to the New
Zealand Bar in 1994.
Throughout her career Liesl has worked for large legal firms in
both New Zealand and England. She has also spent a number of
years working as an in-house legal adviser at Coca-Cola &
Cadbury Schweppes, National Westminster Bank and Barclays Bank
the focus being on general commercial law, marketing and
advertising, and financial services.
In more specific terms, Liesl’s work involves drafting and
negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements including
outsourcing arrangements, supply terms, confidentiality
agreements, white label agreements and advising on advertising
and marketing campaigns. Liesl has experience in the retail
banking arena in particular advising on all aspects of retail
banking products, including consumer credit facilities,
issuer/acquirer products and systems, new product development
and compliance issues. She also has experience advising large
banks and insurance companies on privacy and providing wholesale
privacy audits of client systems and literature.
Liesl has also been handling the legal aspects of a wide variety
of advertising campaigns including international promotions,
prize competitions, comparative advertising and related matters.
