Sara is a senior associate in the Litigation and
Dispute Resolution team. Sara’s principal areas of practice are
civil and commercial litigation. She conducts and defends claims
on behalf of individuals and corporate entities involving
contract disputes, professional negligence, tort, corporate
insolvency, and insurance related issues.
Sara has recently acted (with other members of the team) on
resolving charges laid under the Fair Trading Act against a
client in a novel and significant prosecution by the Commerce
Commission involving currency conversion charges on credit card
transactions. Sara is currently acting (on instructions from
Lloyds underwriters) in the defence of two multimillion dollar
professional negligence claims, one in the construction arena
and the other in the area of legal services.
Sara is a member of the New Zealand Insurance Law Association.
She describes her approach as a combination of attention to
detail combined with a pragmatic view of what works. Supporting
clients through the process and being well prepared are the keys
to a successful outcome in her experience. |
