Susan Pilgrim has accrued wide-ranging and
outstanding legal expertise in a distinguished career that spans
more than thirty years, combining defence in white collar crime
cases, public prosecution through the Serious Fraud Office,
civil litigation, education and publishing.
Susan is a Senior Associate in our Litigation and Dispute
Resolution Team. Her core strengths are her investigative skills
and in-depth knowledge of all aspects of running a substantial
litigation matter. Interviewing witnesses, interfacing with
clients and professionals and preparing briefs are second nature
to her.
Susan was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court, England
and Wales in 1987. From 1990 to 1996, Susan was a senior
prosecutor with the Serious Fraud Office, during a period of
some of the largest corporate frauds in New Zealand's history.
She has also held senior roles with both the Privacy
Commissioner and as an advisor to the Human Rights Commission.
With Hesketh Henry, Susan has been involved in several
substantial litigation cases and she is highly valued for her
deft management of clients and her approachable, organised and
quietly authoritative style.
