Sarah is a partner in Hesketh
Henry's Corporate and Commercial team and was admitted to the New
Zealand bar in 1997. In 2001, she was admitted as a Solicitor of
the Supreme Court of England and Wales.
Sarah has extensive
experience gained in New Zealand, Germany and the United Kingdom on
high profile, high value, cross-border transactions, acting for
leading corporates and multinationals. Her principal area of
practice is corporate and commercial law, with a particular focus
on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, shareholders
agreements, corporate governance advice and the drafting of a wide
variety of commercial contracts. Sarah acts for a mix of listed and
unlisted entities, based both in New Zealand and overseas.
Sarah particularly enjoys providing advice in a venture capital
context and has recently advised both investors and investee
companies in connection with a number of investments across
different market sectors.
Sarah thrives on getting to know
her clients and the inner workings of their businesses. She enjoys
applying a proactive, thorough, accessible and congenial approach
to solving complex legal problems and helping her clients realise
their goals.
Sarah is the author of the Brookers
publication “Mergers, Acquisitions and Takeovers, Practice and
Procedure”. She is a trustee of the Auckland Philharmonia
Foundation and a member of the New Zealand Private Equity and
Venture Capital Association and the French New Zealand Business
Council.
Sarah speaks German and French and has a basic
knowledge of Spanish and Italian.
