Hesketh Henry Joins NZ-Fiji Business Mission to Strengthen Pacific Trade Ties

Hesketh Henry corporate partner Ben Hickson recently participated in the Fiji Business Mission organised by the NZ Fiji Business Council.  The Mission was attended by delegates from across New Zealand and Fiji’s public and private sectors.  Distinguished guests included Fiji’s Deputy Prime Minister Hon. Manoa Kamikamica, New Zealand’s deputy High Commission to Fiji Mr Alex Shahryar-Davies, Governor of the Reserve Bank of Fiji Mr Arif Ali as well as NZ Fiji Business Council President Chandar Sen.

Discussions focussed around trade opportunities for New Zealand and Fiji businesses, while recognising the NZ and Fiji Governments’ shared goal of NZ$2b in two way trade by 2030.  Development of sustainable climate resilient infrastructure remains a focus, with real opportunities for New Zealand businesses in the infrastructure (including renewable energy) sectors.
