Update on Corbin Hart’s Paralympic Campaign: A Hard-Fought Battle
We are excited to share an update on Corbin Hart’s inspiring journey toward the Paralympics. Despite narrowly missing out on qualifying for Paris, Corbin achieved a personal best time of 41.78 seconds, showcasing his dedication and hard work.
Corbin’s journey has been filled with challenges and triumphs, and his perseverance has been truly inspiring. We are incredibly proud of his achievements and confident in his bright future.
We are thrilled to announce our sponsorship of Paralympian Kayaker Corbin Hart as he sets his sights on qualifying for the 2024 Paris Paralympics. Corbin’s story is one of remarkable resilience and unwavering determination.
In December 2019, Corbin experienced a life-altering workplace accident resulting in the loss of his leg. Rather than letting adversity define him, Corbin embraced kayaking, finding solace and strength in the sport.
Thus began Corbin’s journey of passion and dedication; within three months of kayaking, he competed in his first competition event in New Zealand, setting his sights on the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics (postponed due to the pandemic).
In May 2021, Corbin traveled to Szeged, Hungary, where he secured a spot for New Zealand in the Tokyo Paralympics by placing 7th in the qualifying event. His dream became a reality when he finished 5th in the Men’s KL3 B Final at the Paralympics, clocking an impressive time of 44.182 seconds.
In 2022, Corbin showcased his talent at the ICF Canoe Sprint and Paracanoe World Championships. After a strong showing in the semi-finals, he earned a commendable 5th place in the KL3 200m sprint A Final.
Corbin’s determination remains unyielding despite challenges on the road to Paris in 2024. Although he narrowly missed qualifying for the 2023 World Championships, he is poised to seize another opportunity at the 2024 ICF Paracanoe World Championships in Szeged.
Most recently, in March 2024, at the Paddle Australia Canoe Sprint Nationals in Sydney, Corbin demonstrated his prowess by securing a Bronze medal for New Zealand in the 200m final in Paracanoe.
Hesketh Henry is proud to support Corbin’s campaign, and we look forward to his future achievements.
