Recently the members of the Commercial Property team at Hesketh Henry assisted by others within the firm embarked on a challenge like no other. Sales, purchases, leases – these are ‘all in a day’s work’ for the team. Creating a menu of epic proportions, fit to feed the hungry stomachs of some of the country’s cutest customers and their families? Now that’s an undertaking!
Ronald McDonald House provides support, in the way of accommodation to families of sick children who come from all over New Zealand to Starship Hospital for treatment. They welcome the likes of groups like Hesketh Henry who are keen to help out in some way and get behind a great cause. So we hung up our corporate gear and donned some fetching black aprons for the evening.
Whoever coined the expression “too many cooks in the kitchen” obviously never had the pleasure of sharing a kitchen with fourteen lawyers and legal personnel. We worked like a well-oiled machine to put on a great kiwi spread fit for Masterchef (in our professional legal opinions). This is a great community initiative and we were truly humbled to be able to provide these families with a meal and no doubt a little entertainment evidenced by some very questionable looking ice-cream structures.
