With over 20 years of global insurance law expertise, she has built an impressive track record working with top-tier teams across New Zealand, London, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Melissa specialises in construction, environmental, and product liability, and has served as Asia Pacific wordings counsel for a major international insurer.
She expertly represents both insurers and their insureds in investigating and defending high-value, complex claims, including construction, public and product liability, and professional negligence disputes.
Melissa’s extensive experience includes advising on insurance and reinsurance coverage matters, as well as drafting policy wordings, endorsements, and navigating regulatory frameworks in New Zealand. She is also skilled in various dispute resolution techniques, including mediation, adjudication, and trial work in the High Court of New Zealand.
