Hesketh Henry’s corporate team is pleased to have advised client BW Digital Pte. Ltd (an affiliate of BW Group) and international counsel Stephenson Harwood (Singapore) Alliance with respect to New Zealand law and regulatory aspects of BW Digital’s acquisition of 100% of Hawaiki Submarine Cable Limited Partnership and International Connectivity Services Limited (Hawaiki). The transaction has now achieved formal completion, following the successful obtaining of all applicable regulatory filings and approvals.
The Hawaiki Submarine Cable is a cross-sectional fibre optic cable between the United States and Oceania (which links 15,000 km between landing stations in Australia, New Zealand, American Samoa, Hawaii and the west coast of the US) and has become a critical infrastructure asset in the region.
