Hesketh Henry advises China Animal Husbandry Group in Mataura Valley Milk/a2 Milk Company deal

Hesketh Henry is delighted to have advised China Animal Husbandry Group (CAHG) in relation to its partial divestment of shares in Southland-based nutritional product manufacturer Mataura Valley Milk (MVM) in a transaction involving a NZ$268.5m investment in MVM by a2 Milk Company.  CAHG is a subsidiary of China National Agriculture Development Group, a Chinese state-owned enterprise.  CAHG will retain a 25% interest in MVM which includes joint venture terms with a2 Milk Company.
