In September 2018, Hesketh Henry was honoured to host an official delegations from Ca Mau, Vietnam. The delegations mainly consisted of government officials and representatives from Ca Mau Provincial People’s Council, including the Mr Duong Huynh Khai, Deputy Mayor of Ca Mau Province. They were visiting here to learn about dispute resolution in New Zealand and how they might apply it to their recent rise of dispute cases involving Government contracts in Vietnam.
Hesketh Henry Litigation Partner, Nick Gillies gave a presentation on the structure, processes, timeframes, costs and pros and cons involved in utilising the Courts, private arbitration, mediation and other dispute resolution mechanisms, which was assisted by Hak Jun Lee and James Jung. We hope that the visits will be the beginning of stronger ties between the city and our firm.
