Our German Desk
We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Christina Bryant as our new managing partner. Christina joined Hesketh Henry in 2003 and has been a partner for 14 years . She is a key member of the firm’s leadership team and has helped drive the development of the firm’s sector-focused approach and been instrumental in its recent growth. She is looking forward to building on that momentum with clients and the HH team.
Christina follows on in the role from Erich Bachmann. Erich served as managing partner of the firm for 21 years and as chair of the Lawlink network of firms from 2013 to 2017. Erich signalled earlier in the year that he would be stepping down to focus on his role as a senior partner of the firm and as the head of its corporate and commercial law practice. He is on the board of the German-New Zealand Chamber of Commerce and is the Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany in Auckland. Erich was awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany in 2018.
Nick Gillies has been appointed to the firm’s management board and joins Christina and existing board members Jim Roberts and Robert Berry. Nick became a partner in 2015 after joining Hesketh Henry in 2013, and has led the development of the firm’s specialist construction practice.
